Art was a principal architect of the Georgia Natural Gas retail launch in 1998, attracting more than half a million new retail customers to form the nation's largest deregulated utility – an effort that received national acclaim for marketing effectiveness. In 2000, Art's efforts to launch Simmons' newly re-engineered Beautyrest mattress earned a Gold EFFIE Award as well.
